Nigerian survival fund artisan and transport application commenced on 1st October 2020. The artisan / transport support scheme is part of the new MSME Survival Fund lunched by the federal government of Nigeria.
333,000 artisans and transport business operators are targeted through the scheme to be provided with a N30,000 operations grant to help reduce the effects of income loss due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Eligibility for Artisan / Transport Support Application.
Below is the requirement and qualifications for artisans and transporters applying for msme survival fund.
- Applicant must genuine transporter or artisan (car repair mechanics, tailors, carpenters, barbers/hair stylists, plumbers etc.)
- Must be a member of your occupation’s union.
- The Union / Association must be registered with CAC.
- Must have a BVN and Bank account.
Recognised Unions and Clusters.
ARTISAN CLUSTER.
- Mechanics Associations and unions.
- Barbers and hairstylist Associations and unions.
- Bricklayer Associations and Unions.
- Tailoring Associations and Unions.
- Plumber Associations and Unions.
- Carpenters’ Associations and Unions.
TRANSPORT CLUSTER.
- Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
- Keke Riders’ Association.
- Okada Riders’ Associations and Unions.
The Scheme will roll out completely in 3 two-week sprints and target implementation across the country in three Streams following this order:
Survival Fund Artisan/Transport Scheme Streams.
The Artisan scheme is divided into three Streams. States to apply in each stream can seen below;
- STREAM 1 States: FCT, Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Ogun, Bornu, bauchi, Anambra, Abia, Rivers, Plateau and Delta State.
Application Period: Starts 1st October, ends 15th October 2020. - STREAM 2 States: To be announced soon.
Application Period: Starts 19th October, ends 31st October 2020. - STREAM 3 States: Akwa Ibom, Cross river, Zamfara, Yobe, Sokoto, Nasarawa, Niger, Imo, Oyo, Osun, Jigawa, Gombe, Benue.
Application Period: Starts 9th December, ends 21st December 2020.

- Contact your state focal person.
- The focal person will direct on how to register through your association.
- Complete the necessary form and documents and submit.
- Application will be completed on the www.survivalfundapplication.com portal.
Focal Persons for 36 States in Nigeria and the FCT.

Furthermore, Enumerators will be recruited across the 36 states who will be responsible for collating the names of those interested in the scheme.
Note: The artisans themselves do not require CAC registration to apply. Only the association needs to be registered with CAC.
