NECO GCE Geography Practical & Objective Answers 2018 is Out

2-18 NECO GCE Geography Practical Objective Answer – Physical Geography Questions (Map Reading) Released.

The Neco gce geography practical map reading geo objective questions is now out. The National Examination Council (NECO) Geography General Certificate Examination (GCE) paper will take place on Tuesday 11th December, 2018.

The 2018 Neco Gce Geography answer is for Papers III & I: Objective & Practical which will commence from 2.00pm and end by 4.30pm. That means the Neco gce geography examination will last for two hours thirty minutes (2hrs 30mins) only.

The physical and practical geography part involves map reading which all the tools needed will be provided for the candidate. In this post, we will be posting out samples of the neco gce geography questions for candidates that will participate in the examination for practice purposes.

 1. Study the map extract provided on a scale of 1:50,000 and answer the questions that follow.
(a) In your answer booklet, reduce the mapped area to a third of its original size and state the scale of the new outline.
(b) In your new outline, insert and name:
i) Settlement Zima;
ii) The railway line running from Piajam settlement to Geza settlement;
iii) Turash settlement.
(c) Describe three drainage characteristics of River Asop.
(d) Using evidence from the map, state three functions of Manchok settlement.

2. (a) Define solar system
(b) Outline three characteristics each of the following planets:
i. Mercury;
ii. Earth.

3. (a) Draw an outline map of Nigeria. On the map, show and name:
i. two landlocked countries;
ii. the capital cities of the countries; mentioned in 3(a)(i) above;
iii. two sea ports used by the landlocked countries named in 3(a)(i) above.
(b) Highlight five problems affecting landlocked countries.

4. (a) Draw an outline map of Africa. On the map, show and name:
i. two areas each important for irrigation agriculture along River Niger and River Nile;
ii. an important crop in each area.
(b) Explain three methods of irrigation agriculture practiced in one of the areas shown in 4(a)(i) above.
(c) Highlight two problems facing irrigation agriculture in the area chosen in 4(b) above.
