How To Join the Nigerian Army recruitment requirement.

To join the Nigeria Army, you must meet the following eligibility requirements and follow the steps below to apply;

  • Applicants must be a Nigerian citizen by birth and possess a National Identity Card.
  • Applicants must be medically and physically fit.
  • Applicants must be free from any criminal conviction.
  • Applicants must possess at least a minimum of 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/ GCE/ NECO/ NABTEB at O Level including English Language.
  • In addition to the above qualification, those applying for Tradesmen/women must also possess Trades Test/City and Guild Certificate. Details are available on the website.
  • Be between the ages of 18 – 22 years for non-tradesmen/women while tradesmen/women must be between the ages of 28 – 35 years.
  • Not be less than 1.68 metres and 1.62 metres tall for male and female candidates
  • Knowledge of additional Nigerian language other than mothers tongue is an added advantage.

Nigeria Army Form Application Procedure.

To apply to join the Nigerian Army through the Nigerian Army DSSC and SSC Recruitment or the Nigerian Army Recruitment for Regular Recruits;

  1. Visit the Nigerian army recruitment portal website.
  2. Register with a valid email address.
  3. Complete the Online Application Form.
  4. Print and attest documents generated – Application and Guarantor forms.
  5. Visit designated examination and recruitment centres with above documents.

Requirements for entry as Non-Tradesmen or Non-Tradeswomen;

15 Chaplaincy (Protestant) Possess a minimum of 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE /GCE/ NECO/ NABTEB. One of the credits must be in English and Music.

  3. Certificate or NCE in Christian Education.

17 Military Police Possess a minimum of 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE /GCE/ NECO/ NABTEB. One of the credits must be in English and Music.
