UNIJOS Registration Exercise for 2018/19 Freshers Announced

Official UNIJOS Registration Procedure for 2018/2019 New Students.

The University of Jos (UNIJOS) wishes to inform all newly admitted undergraduate students that the registration exercise for 2017/2018 Academic Session shall commence on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the respective Faculty Boardrooms, Fresh Students, Central Registration Officers, Faculty Officers, Departmental Registration Officers, etc.

Fresh Students are please expected to take note of the following registration procedures:

 

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

1. Check Admission Status and Print Admission Slip.

2. Payment of Pre-Registration Charge
– Successful candidates are to pay Pre-Registration charge of twenty five thousand naira (N25,000.00) only by visiting https://portal.unijos.edu.ng
– Select Login and enter their email and password to login to their personalized dashboard.
– Select Fee Management and Click on School Charges Then Select Payment and follow the prompts.
– Print the payment receipt upon successful payment.

3. Verification of Payment of Pre-Registration
Candidates present their payment receipt to the Faculty Finance Officer (FFO) for verification.  The FFO stamps and signs the receipt and returns same to the candidate

4. Bio-data Registration by Students

To do the online bio-data registration, the candidate visits portal.unijos.edu.ng and Log in with their email and password. Then selects My Profile and Click Add/Edit Bio-data. Fill and complete the online bio-data and print five (5) copies. The candidate then proceeds to their respective Faculties Registration Venue.

5. Registration Venues

  • Faculty of Agricultural Sciences  – Bauchi Road Campus
  • Faculty of Arts         –  Naraguta Campus
  • Faculty of Education  –   Naraguta Campus
  • Faculty of Engineering       –    Bauchi Road Campus
  • Faculty of Environmental Sciences   – Naraguta Campus
  • Faculty of Law   –          Bauchi Road Campus
  • Faculty of Management Sciences   –  ANAN Centre, Opposite University Health Services, Naraguta Campus
  • College of Health Sciences  –  Bauchi Road Campus
  • Faculty of Natural Sciences   – Bauchi Road Campus
  • Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences  – Bauchi Road Campus
  • Faculty of Social Sciences   –   Naraguta Campus
  • Faculty of Veterinary Medicine  –  Bauchi Road Campus.

6. Faculty /Departmental Registration

Fresh students should meet their respective Department Registration Officers with the following:
a. Evidence of payment of school charges
b. Original and photocopies of credentials claimed i.e. O Level/A Level examination results
c. Five (5) copies of completed student’s bio-data registration forms
d. JAMB Result /Registration slip
e. Birth certificate /sworn declaration of age
f. Indigene certificate or an affidavit from the Federal High Court
g. WAEC /NECO /NABTEB scratch card for results checking and
h. Court affidavit to be of good conduct and non-membership of secret cult.
Thereafter, obtain clearance (if successfully screened) and proceed for Faculty registration.

7. Senate Affairs and Admission Division Clearance (Central Registration) Clearance /Registration
After being cleared by the Central Registration Officers (Senate Affairs and Admissions Division), fresh students should proceed to their Faculty Officers at the Registration Centre (for Faculty clearance/registration) with the following:
– Clearance from the Central Registration Officers
– Documents listed in (6) above.

8. Payment of School Charge
Successful candidates are to pay Registration charge of twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00) only by visiting https://portal.unijos.edu.ng
– Select Login and enter their email and password to login to their personalized dashboard.
– Select Fee Management and Click on School Charges
– Then Select School Charges and Payment and follow the prompts
– Print the payment receipt upon successful payment

9. Generation of Matriculation Number
Upon successfully payment of school charges, the system automatically generates matriculation number and unijos email for the student.

10. Verification of Payment of School Charge
Candidates present their school charges payment receipt to the Faculty Finance Officer (FFO) for verification.  The FFO stamps and signs the receipt and returns same to the candidate

11. Departmental Documentation and Online Registration of Courses

The fresh undergraduate students proceed for online Departmental registration as follows:
a.    Visit https://mis.unijos.edu.ng/ug/portal/
b.    Click Returning Students Login then Proceed
c.    Enter your username (matriculation number) and password (created during bio-data registration)
d.    Select Course Registration and follow the instructions

Thereafter, print five (5) copies of the acknowledgement of registration of courses and sign as indicated on the form. Submit signed copy of the course registration form to:
a.    Level Coordinators/Departmental Registration Officer
b.    Respective Faculty Officers
c.    Senate Affairs and Admission Division
d.    Examinations and Records Division
e.    Student’s copy.

12. Hostel Accommodation (First Come First Serve Basis)

Limited hostel accommodation shall be allocated to all students (fresh and returning) who have paid all current and outstanding school charges on a first come first serve bases upon payment of the prescribed hostel accommodation fee. Interested students are to do the following:

The fresh undergraduate students proceed to pay for accommodation online visiting portal.unijos.edu.ng and logs in with their email and password. Select Fee Management to pay for preferred hostel accommodation. The system automatically allocates bedspace in the selected block.

13. Registration in the Library

Library registration is online on the University of Jos website. Print five (5) copies of the library registration form and bring them to the Library at the Bauchi Road Campus for documentation.

14. Registration at the University Health Services Centre

Access to the University’s Health Services registration form is online. Note that only chest X-ray and laboratory results from the University Health Services Centre, Teaching Hospitals, Federal Medical Centres and Specialist Hospitals are accepted.

15. Students Identification Cards
To request for Identity card, the fresh undergraduate students visits portal.unijos.edu.ng and logs in with their email and password. Select Identity card and pays for it online. Thereafter, proceeds to Security Division to collect their identity card.
