The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele disclosed the operational framework for the Accelerated Agricultural Development Scheme at a recent stakeholders meeting.

The Cbn aads recruitment is aimed at engaging unemployed youths between the ages of 18 and 35.

A minimum of 10,000 youth interested in engaging in sustainable and profitable activities along the agriculture value chain in each state, would be employed and trained, the CBN governor explained.

General Requirements for Employment into the  Nigeria Accelerated Agricultural Development Scheme.

Since the aads nigeria job programme is in the form of a loan, the central bank of Nigeria requires that the following criterion be met by the applicants.

  1. Beneficiaries are NOT expected to come up with any physical collateral but they must be grouped into formally registered cooperatives and cross-guarantee each other.
  2. All loan beneficiaries must also have valid Bank Verification Numbers (BVN).
  3. The BVN will be registered on the National Collateral Registry and used to track repayments and also blacklist any defaulters.
