About The Voice Nigeria TV Show.

The Voice Nigeria international talent show is back with its third instalment. This season will be produced in partnership with television giant from the UK, ITV, international record label, Universal Music UK and in partnership with YouTube.

Celebrity musician coaches return to the show with two new exciting additions to the coaches. The show’s innovative format features four stages of competition: the first begins with the blind audition, then the battle round, the brand new knockouts and finally, the live performance.

During the blind auditions, the decisions from the musician coaches are based solely on voice and not on looks. The coaches hear the artists perform, but they don’t get to see them – thanks to rotating chairs. If a coach is impressed by the artist’s voice, he/she pushes a button to select the artist for his/her team. At this point, the coach’s chair will swivel so that he/she can face the artist he/she has selected. If more than one coach pushes their button, the power then shifts to the artist to choose which coach they want to work with. If no coach pushes their button, the artist is eliminated from the competition.

Once the teams are set, the battle is on. Coaches will dedicate themselves to developing their team of artists, giving them advice, and sharing the secrets of their success along with the help from their celebrity advisers. During the battle rounds the coaches will pit two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together in front of a studio audience.

After the vocal battle, the coach must choose which of his/her singers will advance to the next round of competition, while the losing artist is available to be stolen by another coach. Each coach has two steals during the battle rounds.

The voice Nigeria judges / coaches for Season 3 of the talent show are musicians;Yemi Alade, Darey Art Alade, Waje, and Falz. The show will be hosted by Nancy Isime and Toke Makinwa.

Who is eligible to participate in THE VOICE NIGERIA 2020?

The following are The Voice Nigeria 2020 requirements for participation as contestant.

• Must be Nigerian Citizens.
• Must be 18 – 50 years old.
• Must have lived in Nigeria for 12 consecutive months prior to the date of registration.
• Kindly note families of TVN’ core team, staff, project and production team are not eligible to participate.
• Also Note that TVN has the sole discretion to make determinations of eligibility.

How to Audition for The Voice Nigeria Season 3:

To audition and participate in the voice Nigeria 2020 tv show, follow the step by step guide below;

• Visit the voice Nigeria website registration link; https://www.thevoicenigeria.com/join.
• Enter your First Bank Nigeria account Number in the space provided, and click the “Continue” button. Don’t have a FirstBank account? Dial *894*0# or visit a Firstmonie Agent near you to open an account.
• Fill in the form that opens up, then click the “Register” button at the bottom of the page.
• Upload a 1 Minute video singing (Do not tune your voice or use background instrumental).

If I am registering as a duo or trio, should we register separately or together?

If you are auditioning as a duo or trio, please follow these steps to onboard group members after registration.

• Step 1: Complete your registration to create your profile
• Step 2: ONE member of the group is required to create the group but ALL members must be registered.
• Step 3: Click the ‘create group’ button on your profile to create a group.
• Step 4: Invite the other members of your group using the invite field provided.
  Group members will receive an email to accept the invitation, Once accepted, all members will be added to the group and can now operate as a group!

What happens after registration?

If your online registration is successful, you will receive a message confirming receipt of your application. It is important that you provide your primary mobile number and email address as we will use them to contact you. All applications will be processed and if shortlisted for the blind audition, you will receive an audition invitation with details. Please check your email/mobile phone, TVN 2020 social media platforms, and www.thevoicenigeria.com regularly.

The Voice Nigeria Audition Venue 2020.

Where will auditions take place? Due to the social distancing rule there will be no physical pre-selection audition. All Auditions will be done online. All you have to do is register on the website.

How can I cancel my audition?

You can cancel your audition by sending an email to myaudition@thevoicenigeria.com Once you’ve downloaded your audition pass or attended an audition, you are no longer able to delete your audition registration.

I have been contacted by an outside company charging a fee to audition, what do I do?

DO NOT PAY THEM! These companies are in NO WAY affiliated with the casting auditions for “The Voice.” There is not an admittance fee for any of the open calls.

What items am I required to bring to the audition?

The invitation to the audition will include details of the items required. There is also a checklist included in the registration form section on the website.

Is this audition the blind audition in front of coaches?

No. This initial audition will be carried out online. Selected talents will then be invited to the blind audition where the coaches will be present.

Can I apply using my stage name?

Yes, you can. You also have to provide the name that is on your government issued ID for proper identification.

Can I apply if I have a manager?

Yes. However, if you have a current record label deal you must be free to take up the prize. You will be asked to disclose the details of any talent contract on the Questionnaire (e.g. Recording, Management, Publishing, Sponsorship or Merchandising deal) so we can ensure that it would not conflict with your participation in The Voice Nigeria.

The Voice Nigeria 2020 Registration Closing Date.

When does registration close for the Voice Nigeria season 3? The Voice Nigeria application closing date is 19 September 2020. We may extend the closing date and time at our discretion without notice.
