JANUARY 2017
Thursday 05 – Christmas break ends/Students return to Campus
Monday 09 – Lectures resume

MARCH 2017
Friday 03 – Departmental examinations end
Monday 06 – Examinations inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses begin
Monday 20 – Examinations inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses end
End of First Semester and Students vacate Campus
SECOND SEMESTER 2016/2017 SESSION
Monday 27 – Registration begins for all students/ Lectures begin
Tuesday 28 – Examination begins for 1st year students
APRIL
Friday 07 – Registration ends
Monday 10 – Late Registration begins
Thursday 13 – Examination ends for 1st year student
WEDNESDAY 12 – MONDAY 17 EASTER BREAK
Tuesday 18 – Lectures resume
Thursday 20 – Last day for submission of first semester results to the
Department. Processing of results begins in the Department
Monday 24 – Late Registration ends
Thursday 27 – Last day for submission of first semester results to the
Registry (Examination). Processing of results begins in the Registry
MAY
Thursday 11 – Deadline for checking of results by Heads of Department.
JUNE Friday 23 – Lectures end
Monday 26 – Revision begins
Friday 30 – Revision ends
JULY
Monday 03 – Departmental examinations begin
Friday 07 – Departmental examinations end
Monday 10 – Examinations inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses begin
Monday 24 – Examinations inter-faculty and inter-disciplinary courses end

AUGUST
Monday 14 – Last day for submission of second semester results to the
Department. Processing of results begins in the Department
Friday 25 – Last day for submission of first semester results to the
Registry (Examination). Processing of results begins in the Registry
SEPTEMBER
Thursday 18 – Deadline for checking of results by Heads of Department.
Monday 25- Friday 29 – Faculty Boards Meet to consider and approve final year
students results
OCTOBER
October 25 – Senate meets to consider and approve final year results

FIRST SEMESTER: Lectures 16 weeks and 6 days
Revisions 5 days
Examination 3 weeks
Total 18 weeks and 5 days
SECOND SEMESTER: Lectures 12 weeks and 4 days
Revision 1 week
Examinations 3 weeks
Total 16 weeks and 4 days
