UNN Postgraduate 2016/2017 Screening Test Result is Out.
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN has released the result of the recently organized Computer Based Admission Screening Test for Postgraduate candidates. All PG aspirants who participated in the last screening examination can now check their results online.
How To Check UNN PG Screening Test Results 2016:
To check your postgraduate test result, simply follow the process outlined below:
- Visit the University Portal- unnportal.unn.edu.ng
- Click on Postgraduate.
- Click on Check 2016/17 Postgraduate screening result.
- Enter your Application Number.
- Make payments using your debit card or enter your scratch card pin.
- Print your result and keep it safe for the admission process.
Note: To purchase the scratch cards, visit the following places in University of Nigeria:
Nsukka Campus; E-Market Office, Marlima Building and School of Postgraduate Studies, Nsukka
Enugu Campus; ICT Centre, UNEC.

my question is this @ Ugee,Collins if i have 100%assurance that my name is coming out for supplementary list,is it advisable that one start lecture with the first list batch pending till the time they will release the supplimentary admission,because am looking at it that lecture would have gone far by the time they release the supplimentary list and u will be expecting to write the same exam with them…..,or wat do u think?

my only problem with the supplementary admission is that if they delay the release of the admission,the other student must have gone far while u are still batling for registration,its possible the first batch are already preparing for exam and they will expect u to write the exam with them,a friend told me that he got supplementary admission last year by april wen d first batch are almost getting set for exam……thts just my headache

The admission list is already in the depts. So you can go check yours or call someone in ur department to check for u. Congrats in advance. From an old Ph.D student
Let’s chill. Very soon the admission list will be out for Batch A. For those in second batch shouldn’t be expecting their names to be on the list. Only if UNN later changed their mind. ** NOTE: if your in first batch and you didn’t see your name on the first admission list and your sure all your documents are there with them including your transcript , please kindly visit the PG school for some clarification. We all need to help each other. And if your in or around Enugu, kindly visit your department and check if your file has arrived your department cos they’re done selecting candidates that their files were sent to them via PG school. Admission list is ready. What’s left for them is to upload it on their portal.

@julie you don’t need to expect call from your department it’s never done that way. Those that was called knew the lecturer already. So if you know any lecturer in your department you can call him/her to check for you. Only if the list is still in the department (Because all files was sent to various department for checking and clearance) If you have your complete requirements..and you are very sure of your transcript reaching PG school, Admission is sure for you. Just relax and wait for the list around November. Thank you.

Go to your department and check if your file has arrived. They will tell you whether your accepted or not. Admission list is ready.

@Ngozi, I think the best thing for you to do is to ensure that your transcript gets to the school. U cannot just judge based on last year’s cut off because the general performance for both years are not same. Moreso, what’s the guarantee that you’ll score higher if you go for a supplementary? Strictly my sincere thoughts.

I have a serious problem. I called someone at the post graduate unit and they say they can’t find my transcript and i have confirmed that my school has sent it since June 14th. I scored 56 in MSC economics. Pls what should I do. Is it too late for me. Am just confused right now.
ADAMS, it is not too late, you have to speed up to avert lateness. You can pay for another transcript and ask your forner institution to SEAL the rranscipt and then give it to you personally for “sure” delivery by you. I know people who did EXACTLY what I just suggested.

So those that score below 30 may be considered depending on your complete documents submitted, and area of study.

For those who still have problem in checking there screening result. Follow this simple step..
Go to unnportal.unn.edu.ng click on check screening results 2016/2017.
Two option will display either you check through scratch card or RRR.
Note: if you don’t have the scratch card please don’t click on it. Because if you do, and want to go through remita it will be difficult. Anytime you login to check your result it will still be requesting for scratch card pin. Same applies to RRR.
If you want to check using RRR. Click on RRR, insert your application number correctly without no space between UNN/PG/2016-17/000***Get invoice for payment which will get you a RRR number, just like when you are purchasing the form. You can use your phone to generate it.
Copy the code such as Q137468*** go to any bank fill a teller with the RRR number boldly writen on top and fill other space except account number and pay 1000 through remita. Wait to collect your receipt from the bank.
Login and insert your application number correctly as earlier instructed. And wait for the display. You can print.

Where are the PGD prospective students? We were asked to answer questions from various field of study. I applied for economics and answered questions from physical, biological and mathematical sciences. I will not be surprise if Msc and Phd applicants perfomed better than PGD. They answered questions from their field of study. The point am trying to make is: PGD cut off mark should be as low as 10%. I pray for all of to be admitted (Msc and Phd inclusive).

@Destiny I applied for PGD PSYCHOLOGY… In general, the exam was difficult because we were asked to answer questions from various field of study. My only saving grace was that I read GMAT 2014/2015…And I was lucky enough that the general science that came out was all from there. Mathematics dealt with me to the extent I felt like crying.. All in All I give GOD the GLORY because without him I don’t think my result would have been 66.. Don’t worry urself too much because with God all things are possible… And Addmission will be everybody’s portion AMEN..

I scored 56 in the exam. But I discovered of late that Unn don’t have financial economics as a course under MSC economics and that’s what I choosed. Though I choosed MSC economics then in bracket I wrote (financial economics). Pls will i be denied admission ?
@ Adams, u will not be denied of admission. It is your choice to make an alternative with available courses and resourses during admission process or u leave it, shikina!
Payed now using Remita , i scored 66… I applied for PGD PSYCHOLOGY… I have no reason to complain, may God be praised… Best of luck to others….

@SHEDRACH go to unnportal.unn.edu.ng. Go to Post graduate, click on checking result, two option will appear, One Remiata and the other scratch card. Click on Remita, they will bring out your invoice. Print it out and pay in the bank using ur RRR on the invoice (1,000) . After payment in the bank, wait for about one hour, for it to register at UNN account that you have paid. Then go back and put ur application number.
I paid now through Remita and when I went back to put in my application number it refused to open. Please what do I do now. (UNN/PG/2016-17/000***)
U will have to go back to were u filled ur application and upload ur pix. Once u do dat u will see ur result.
u generate the remita with ur application number and not ur name. With this, once u log into the unnportal,unn.edu.ng, select pgs check result n there it is.

U must not check ur result with a scratch card, u can use Remita and pay in any bank or call any of the ICT numbers provided were u were filling d application for

Pls I logged into the portal and keyed in my application number, it showed my name and when I entered the scratch card PIN and clicked submit, the page went blank. I then tried to log in again after which I got the message that the PIN has been used by another person. I have also been trying to log in and try again, when i enter my application number, it just goes off without bring out anything. Any clue on what I should do?

@Ikebudu, there is a way the marks are calculated. For instance, they can say each question carries 2 marks, so if u scored 35, it becomes 35×2= 70. This means the candidate got 15 wrong options which attracts a penalty, and each penalty may attract 0.5 or 1 mark. So, it becomes 15×0.5= 7 wrong marks or 15×1= 15 wrong marks. The final marks will now be 70-7=63 or 70-15=55 as the case may be. The final marks depends on what the penalty attracts on wrong options answered by the candidate .The candidate is, however, not penalized for leaving a question blank or bonuses applied. @IKEBUDU some departments were not up to 50 questions. like mine Library and information science was 25 questions so it was multiplied by 4. some were 20 and was multiplied by 5. Are we on d same page now?

This is pure robbery. How can you pay such huge sum of money to sit for the exam and still be told to buy scratch card inorder to access it. Its so unfair and unreasonable.

To check your postgraduate test result, simply follow the process outlined below:
1. Visit the University Portal-unnportal.unn.edu.ng
2. Click on Postgraduate.
3. Click on Check 2016/17 Postgraduate screening result.
4. Enter your Application Number.
5. Make payments using your debit card or enter your scratch card pin.
6. Print your result and keep it safe for the admission process.

Hey, u won’t get a card after paying the 1000 but will only gain access to check ur result. The problem u have with checkin ur result is that ur picture was not uploaded in the application form u filled, which means that u have to back to upload ur picture bfo u can check ur resul
