UNN Postgraduate Acceptance-Tuition Payment Procedure 2015/2016 Announced.
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN management has published the Postgraduate (PG) Acceptance-Tuition payment procedure for 2015/2016 academic session.
PG STUDENT FEES PAYMENT PROCESS
ACCEPTANCE
- Login into the Portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng) with your Username and Password
- Click on the Acceptance menu and select Get PG Acceptance Invoice
- Click the Generate button, this generates the Acceptance Fee Invoice
- Proceed to the bank
- Pay Acceptance Fees at the bank with the Remita Retrieval Reference Number on the invoice.
- Login into the Portal with your Username and Password
- Click on the Acceptance menu and select Pay PG Acceptance
- Enter the Remita Retrieval Reference Number and click the Submit button
- Fill the Acceptance Form and click the Submit button.
- This generates the Acceptance Letter.
SCHOOL FEES
- Login into the Portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng) with your Username and Password
- Click on the School Fees menu and select Get PG School Fees Invoice
- Select the Session, Level and click the Generate button, this generates the School Fees Invoice
- Proceed to the bank
- Pay School Fees at the bank with the Remita Retrieval Reference Number on the invoice.
- Login into the Portal with your Username and Password
- Click on the School Fees menu and select Pay PG School Fees
- Enter the Remita Retrieval Reference Number and click the Submit button
- Select the Level in the Fee Confirmation page
- This generates the School Fees receipt.

The accommodation portal in Nsukka keeps saying all rooms have been occupied. Is it true ? Pay the FEES (Acceptance & School Fees) in the BANK
Pay PG fees (Acceptance & School Fees) ONLINE by inputting RRR No
Generate HOSTEL INVOICE
Pay the HOSTEL FEES in the BANK
Pay HOSTEL FEES ONLINE by inputting RRR No
Pay #4,500 in UNN Microfinance Bank for HOSTEL HALL LEVY
Submit 1 photocopy each of 3 documents (Acceptance Fees Bank Print-out, School Fees Bank Print-out, Official Fees Receipt ~from online portal) to PG School
Return after 2 working days to collect the original school fees receipt, come with this 5 documents (Bank tellers of School Fees & Acceptance Fees, Bank Print-out of School Fees & Acceptance Fees, Official Fees Receipt ~from online portal) to PG School to collect the receipt.
Goto STUDENT AFFAIRS with a photocopy of all Bank Printouts & Tellers (Acceptance, school, hostel & hostel hall levy), buy 2 customized files from them, make photocopies of other documents you’ll be given there, share it between the 2 files. Submit 1 file @Student Affairs & the other in the hostel, after which you’ll be given a RECEIPT & customized FOLDER JACKET from the hostel Porter.
Go to PG SCHOOL, with your HOSTEL RECEIPT (for those who will stay in the hostel) or #1500 (for those who wont), your ORIGINAL CREDENTIALS for verification, and the following documents photocopied in 5 set (Admission Letter, Official Fees Receipt, Particulars of Admission, Personal Information Profile, Registration Number) [all of which are printable from the online portal], all these will be signed on, then you’ll have 1 for yourself & distribute four set to these offices (PG School, HOD, Supervisor, Student Affairs) also you’ll be given a students regulations handbook there @ PG School & some customized files.

I seem to have a peculiar problem with my acceptance fee payment procedure….I have successfully paid both the school fees and acceptance fees as directed, and has also been able to login my school fees.but when i input the RRR for the acceptance fee, it redirects me to the POSTGRADUATE ACCEPTANCE FORM page, then when i click on submit, and instant pop-up message is displayed -“student email address is invalid”…am so stuck here and can’t complete my admission process, though the email address is valid and functional… pls ADMN, i need your advice on what to do. tnx.

I can’t generate payment invoice for school fee. The portal, each time I click on school fee invoice generation, says, “the school fee for this has not been assigned”
Secondly, I succeeded with invoice generation for and payment of Acceptance Fee. However, whenever I attempt to fill the Remita Reference pin code (the number with the largest font size on the receipt issued to me by the bank), the portal responds, “RRR is invalid!”.
As a result, I went back to the bank where I made the payment – First Bank – to complain but they said I was using the right code and have never seen such a case before.
I need informed suggestions on how to overcome these problems ASAP. Thanks.

I’m having real issues here: first off, I can’t generate a payment invoice for school fee. It simply tells me that the payment for this session has not been assigned. I have been offered admission in the Faculty of Arts (PhD, part time).
Secondly, after paying my Acceptance fee, the RRR number written boldest on the receipt issued to me by the bank is unacceptable to UNN portal. It writes: “RRR is invalid!”. I went bank to the bank – First Bank – to confirm if I was making mistakes by using that particular number but they said I was right. Yet it remains unacceptable to the portal and thus I can’t submit the Acceptance Form page and print my Admission Letter.
I am really worried and need suggestions on how to go about the problems.

Yes JH! That mistake in paragraph two is very true and conspicuous too. I however, took it with light finger. I just want to move ahead to other business after over 6months of processing admission. Dissapointing if UNN though! Good fortune and God speed to us all.
UNN INFO, there is a fundamental mistake on the admission letter being printed out. The 2nd paragraph of that letter reads: “The University will re-open for on 18 August 2014…”.

@Idara, PG hostel accommodation in unec is not online. Hasten up and visit Students’ Affairs dept for Manuel application of bed space. It’s done on first come first serve bases. Will be in unec next week to make my own application. Note: PG hostel in unec is in short supply.

@ Jude, Use a different browser and it will work. For instance if u are using mozilla firefox browser then try using Internet Explorer browser or google chrome browser
chuks, just generate you Acceptance fee invoice and School fee RRR numbers respectively. visit any bank with the invoice containing RRR numbers. The RRR number generated by you will be used to pay to Remita. After that, go back to login on the pg portal to enter the RRR number which will give you access to print your Admission Letter.

Too many questions, generate ur invoice and u will see how much u need to pay for both school fees and acceptance…u can only access hostel accommodation wen u have paid ur school fees and acceptance ok? So just take it one step @ a time and do not muddle up everything @ once.

There are some courses that are designated as professional rather than academic, courses like MBA, MPH, and a few other courses. If you are in any of those departments, choose professional rather than academic
Well, I need assistance as to how I can change my program type from academic to professional. And how does this affect the school fees as an Engineering student? I don’t think I wanna go 4 PhD as dat seems to b d main reason behind the academic masters, yle d professional has 2do with someone seeking a job career, not an academic career. But in anycase, academic masters seems to cover 4 professional also, it’s almost like d grand masters, u can get a job with it and further ur academics as well, d choice is urs, but with a professional masters u cannot use that to apply directly 4 PhD, u have to first do wat is called an advanced masters b4 u can proceed to get a PhD. I hope dis helps u make a proper choice.

@mikyel go to the pg office specifically ICT dept they will correct it for you.@ pretth academic programs are programs that when done you could lecture with it. you can also further to PhD with it. but professional masters like MBA, and center for maritime studies can only be done at masters level. you can’t lecture with it nor further it to PhD ldvel.only few schools like Unizik do PhD in business administration but you can’t lecture with it that’s is the much I know

To get your login details, go to the postgraduate portal you would see three options
click on “click here to get login details” click on new student then enter your pg registration number
it will display your username and password
Then go back to the previous page and click on “click here to login to the portal”
login with your username and password.
when you have logged in, on the left hand side of the page you will see profile click on it and fill it then click on submit.
log out then log in again
the other options will now be displayed on the left hand side of the page
to generate acceptance fee invoice
click on acceptance then click on generate pg acceptance invoice, fill in the necessary details,then click on generate,it will now display the details you need. then print
to generate school fees invoice
click on school fees then click on generate pg school fees invoice, fill in the necessary details,then click on generate,it will now display the details you need. then print

@ mj, i will get to knw how much the school fee is by 2morow after paying the acceptance fee. for the accomodation i wouldnt knw since am not applying for that, because one can only knw the actaul price when an invoice is raised for it.
Mj the school fees depends on your department, pharmacy is 95k while I paid 90k for adult education. However I would advice you travel down so as to get first information by your self.
The school fees varies with varius department. You can only how much school fees you are to pay by generating your invoice (after you log in and change your password, fill your biodata form, upload your passport photo, print the admission particulars that subsequently shows up, then generate THE INVOICE FOR THE SCHOOL FEES AND ACCEPTANCE, print them out and proceed to the bank with them for payment, get the RRR print out from them and log in again to print out your admission letter with the RRR number.
The admission letter , admission particulars and other required material would be used for clearance.

If u want to get your login details, kindly visit Unn portal then select the PG link, then u click on login details, then a page will appear containing two boxes, which one is for new students then the other is for the returning students. Select that of new student and input your 6 digits reg number then u submit. Your login details will appear. so if u login, u will be advised to change your password. Try it.

Click new student
Use the last 6 digits as your registration number….
That shows you your username and password
Step 2: Go to unnportal.unn.edu.ng

– input your username and password
– change your password and fill the biodata form
– signout and sign in again with the new password
– go to acceptance, click “generate PG Acceptance Invoice… fill the required spaces and submit….
– go to school fees, click ” generate PG School fees invoice…. fill the required spaces and submit . …..
That should give you both invoices… proceed to the bank with invoice and pay…

On the left hand side of your computer screen you’ll see two options profile and sign out, under the profile link you’ll see change password and fill bio-data.

You have to fill the bio-data first, submit it, logout and login again. Then the links will appear on your page.

Your username and password is your application number…when you generate invoice you will see whichever amount to pay on it…
