well, chidi all I know for now is we are to pay cos others are doing that payment.it is N70,000 at once but if you want to pay in instalment, it will be N82,000 i.e. 42,000 first semester and the other second which becomes more expensive.
I have been told by an old student today that a meeting is being held in the campus for that laptop issue cos its absurd.so we re waiting to hear the outcome.

I weep and cry for many of the Direct Entry candidates because UNN has toed the line of Unilag and Co, the list that you all have been waiting for is certainly going to shock many as Unn has given 70% of the the admissions to the JUPEB CANDIDATES. We still don’t understand why the school has decided to do that way this time around. U all Direct entry candidates would recall that you didn’t have the usual interview , the inter view was rather granted to JUPEB candidates while few Degrees and A levels+HNd were picked up on who has highest scores . It is a pity .my device may next time try JUPEB, the former will likely come out by the end of the year , in jupeb, you select three subjects(depending on your field ) and the compulsory English , then u attend lectures for one year , write the exam and apply to the schools affiliated in the Board such as Unilag Unn etc, unilag admission for direct entry us 90% by jupeb and you also get to start from 200lvl. .Goodluck you all

Wow…. finally , soonest the tension and the fun of this chat house will be over, maximum of a week and some days from today. The one’s that are admitted will be joyous while others will be in a state of despair…. but in all life is worth more than all these. life is in phases. A time to laugh and a time to cry. For instance, some people were not able to buy the DE form in first place, so felt bad when they saw the jamb list, from those that saw their names, some others couldn’t make it for the exam either due to funds or information and felt bad, from those that wrote the exam, some couldn’t see their result and so are feeling bad and from those that have seen their result, those with extremely low score when compared with their colleagues are already feeling bad. Finally the last set to feel bad are those with good scores whom at the end wont see their names on the final list. So it is a two way thing to the top.To those that will be admitted remember you got it by grace not that you are the most intelligent and to those not admitted remember that there is a positive reason for that, so don’t allow depression to make you forget whom you are, as far there is life you can still become all you wish to be. To Melvin, you did well in your updates and to the rest of the aspirants all your contributions made this house worthwhile. And to those exchanging numbers, please let your discussion be strictly on academic issues…. Lol…As we await the list let’s keep praying. Before I forget, to those that couldn’t see their result, please keep praying something positive might still happen but in all whatever happens, don’t give up on life make sure you pray always. sum1 told me dat supplementry/direct entry list will come dis week. Since NUC declared dat dea will be no admission beyond October 31. Bc next week will be d last day of publishing result for all the higher institution in Nigeria. Xo let all of us keep on praying 2 God concerning d list. Cut off Mark Cut off Mark …what is this about cutt of mark. The available space and rate of performances of the applicants determine the cutt off Mark . FOR instance in a course whereby the available slot is 20, and about 30 are already scoring 270 and above ,obviously the school will set 270 as a cutoff and then screen the credentials and Olevel results to determine the 20 that shall be getting the slots upon merits. SO is the case when the applicants perform generally poor so u guys should quit asking about cut off marks BT start asking fro others prayers as you have no business with the cut off mark simply because u might have the cut off mark but fall short in other criteria as mapped out by the school . May be you should go to admissions office and complain. it may be bank draft problem or may be that you are being suspected of cheating.
Perhaps the school is unable to process your bank draft. If that is not the case , you might consider visiting the school and formerly stating your complaints or drop me your number let me call and you and give u a link that might help

dear they did dat because they have the jamb eligibility list and since it’s reg number u can see as many as u want..I have don that at first but later realised that the more I try to see who is better than the other I’d just be giving myself HBP…. so now I’m trusting in God only thereby working in faith and not in sight. I use my self as a case study this is my third time of writing DE exam I wrote 2013 scored 240, wrote 2014 scored 290 but medicine didn’t admit me I now wrote this year and blast above 300 so don’t be discourage if pharmacy is really wat u want u need t fight on. Last year pharmacy took 15persons.
Like seriously, you wrote a DE for three years now …Bro if u have obtained a first degree and you wasted three years writing DE then I must really not commend you much .when u failed that of 2013, why didn’t u enrol for a PGEd for one year while u still applied , and why ddnt u not also apply through Jamb and Direct entry the following year ? I just hope un ddnt waste three years writing DE , precious years ..and now what happens if u do my get the admission this time around , u will wait and again for unn..Please Nigerian graduates should learn. ..If u failed to secure this admission , this year , my advice is for you to enrol for a PG STUDIES of 1 year by January while waiting for another admission , and for the next admission , use both Jamb admission and Direct entry. If the course is really your passion so then u shouldn’t have problem with starting from 100 level. Let me speak about interview. Now you can agree with me that Jamb change the mode of DE registration in that you must present the jamb reg of ur first degree b4 u can register, this is for them to verify ur degree also b4 during DE post exam you don’t need to register your olevel but this year u did so they have your olevel reg number and centre number they can verify it on waec or neco data base again when advertising for DE screening Unn used to specify for interview date n venue so that candidates will come with their credentials but this year nothing like that. Lastly b4 when you check your DE result you will see interview date n venue but this year what they wrote is that “you will be inform if u have been giving admission or not” nothing like interview and let’s remember that jamb gave 31October as deadline for admission to all universities. From all this I think there will be no interview this year. Is just my own opinion keep checking incase they decided to but I doubt.
@Melvin is not really what you think, we argued this your opinion last year and Unn proves us wrong. UNN accept both 2:1 and 2:2 in medcine . your post DE score is what matters once ur Olevel is in order. I went for the interview last year and witness everything. The first 12 people that were called in for medicine is wat they took and is based on DE score. Then I scored 290 I wax hoping they will take me because I had 2:1 they didn’t instead they took a girl that had 2:2 in plant science . so if your score is high men you have a big advantage.
If u had taken time to understand what I wrote you wouldn’t have wasted your energy trying to make a point . I said that most schools clearly state that they only accept 2.1 for some courses. And as for u who scored 290 and the person and the girl that scored higher in De exam who got selected before u . NOW LOOK , an aunt of mine happened to be among the board that decided on the De result of 2013/14, i recall her telling me an argument that arose from degree results, A candidate who got 2.2 from a federal uni and another who got 2.1 from private uni (name withheld ) .finally the fed uni candidate was offered the slot, and u should also Consider the DE result margin between u and the girl as u don’t expect the school to offer u a chance before a candidate scoring 320 or above. Consider all these and then u might know what u acre up to.i will acres sue u acres sumps wrote this DE, now look , the uni will start evaluation with DE scores , they might fix a 300 as cut off and all candidates falling in the cut off mark will will be scrutinised then based on olevel and degree , plus other added advantages

Thanks Micheal , like I earlier said, , your high score doesn’t automatically offer u the slot ….Your waec result is evaluated ( u were asked to fill it online ) , your degree ( how close it is to the course opted in , as a biochemistry graduate would likely bnye considered for medicine more than a botany graduate ), Your Gp ( most uni clearly state that they don’t pick 2.2 or lower credit candidates for some Direct entry courses), the institution that u graduated from matters also ( federal uni is given preferential treatment), if u have done your youth service (the person u submitted your documents to in the jamb office during registration must have hinted u on the need fro you to also submit a Copy of your discharge letter , as that is an advantage, ) and finally the catchment area ( though unn has a wide area of catchment, South East candidates stand better chances but that is when a reasonable number of candidates have been admitted on merit ). Why I am taking time to state all these is to give u an eye opening concerning what you might be getting as you might wonder what went wrong and why someone who scored lower in the exam was chosen ( remember the exam question was a secondary school standard, hence u don’t expect the school to rely majorly in the result…Unn won’t cease to surprise students.

please, interview is a norm for de candidates. Try ur best nd be checkin 4 updates when d interview is comin up. What maters most is ur gp nd d department u graduated from. 4 instance, a person with upper credit electrical eng. score 200 has better chances than distinction science tech. 400/400 opting 4 elect enginering

please, dont be deceived. I’m a beneficiary of dis de last year 2014/2015. Dere is notin like one getin 328. We had only 40 questions, 4 subjects with each subject only 10 questions, nd each carried 10%. I got 320/400. Please, for every de dere is always an interview it is a norm norm
Don’t be deceived oo be wise, last year DE exam 10 questions each total of 40marks. Each question is 10marks so nothing like 328 in last year DE exam Mr. Clinton is blarbing looking for who to deceive. Be warned.
You lied Mr Clinton 12 candidates were admitted last year into medicine via DE. @Chidera I understand how you feel. Plz take it easy, your problem is likely to be from bank draft because once they were not able to verify your bank draft you will not be able to see your result.
If u got 380 or 400 in the exam doesn’t guarantee you an admission at all . Last year , a student who read microbiology in unn and scored 328 in the screening exam could not find his name amongst the seven people admitted into medicine . Till this moment , he asks why ? Like I said , if u have anyone in the department u applied for , don’t hesitate to contact them once you have already scored a good mark .above all , I belive in prayer , I don’t know abut you guys ……nd the VC professor Chukwuma was once a Provost of medicine and head of surgery department , hence he should still have interest in that particular department…For tlhose asking for my contact , just drop your numbers and I won’t hesitate to call you. ..Mind you don’t fall in to any hand that will ask for money for admission . UNN direct entry is a no go area for such.

If u have 2.1 or upper credit minimum and have nice o level result ….then hope on and pray hard cos there are a lot of people that scored 300 and above , so your degree result or Alevel , better still if you have served , then you sure bet to get the admission …Gudluck

Stop misinforming people. The school didn’t hold interview in 2013 due to the strike .that doesn’t imply there won’t be interview . As a matter of fact the school uses the interview to do the major screening as credentials are verified and a lot more .

Guys take chilling pills and pray harder rather than counting your chicks this is how it works. UNN Will have to consider your degree result ( one with 2.2 can not be taken before one won’t 2.1 even when the one with 2.2 got higher in the Exam unless the margin is exceedingly high , same applies to a candidate with distinction and upper credit) Also your previous institution shall be considered as a High 2.1 from a federal university can even get admission faster than a first class from a private university( I don’t know there rationale behind this one ). Also, the closeness of your previous course to medicine shall be considered as one who graduated from Biochemistry has more chances than one who read Botany/ zoology, ..Your Waec which you were asked to fill in online shall be duly considered.And your certificate of National Youth service is an added advantage and finally your state of origin (catchment )..Now once your are lucky to make the cut off mark , make sure you have all intact as the department echelons shall sit on around table to slug it out on who deserves the admission more than the other regardless of the post Ume scores … (of course if the post Ume was just the major criteria my here couldn’t have been need for an extra interview )..One more If you have a relative (u know what i have in mind )..Above all, pray to God as barely 10 candidates shall be selected , last year was 7 candidates that got officially admitted .Let’s hope ON!

I’ve checked some for Medicine. 8 scored 300 and above. In fact, sb scored 347, d other psn, 340 and three oda psns, 320: i’m not even counting d psns dat scored 313, 293 and 287. On d whole, they ae 15 in number.
How do see the full results?..nevertheless , the school also considers the degree results as well as the WAEC result so I heard from an inside source.
You mean that there are 15 people that made 300 and above or 15 people that passed you , cos if the latter is the case then you still have chances of making it via the interview. They might be picking between 10 to 15 candidates.
