The Nigerian Communications Commission has finally released the results of the 2014 NCC National Essay Competition. Application for the essay competition on the topic; BROADBAND: A CATALYST FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, commenced December 2014 and closed January 2015.
The essay competition which received entries from undergraduates of different Universities nationwide saw University of Nigeria Nsukka students carting away majority of the prices.

*1st Prize Winner — Odonoekuma Onyebuchi Ekuma (University of Nigeria Nsukka)
* 2nd Prize Winner — Abdulkareem A. Ibraheem (University of Ilorin)
* 3rd Prize Winner — Asogwa Chijioke Peter of the (University of Nigeria Nsukka)
The image below shows the results of the first ten winners.
According to the organizers, the First Prize winner will go home with N500,000 cash prize, Laptop and Printer. While Second Prize and Third Prize winners will receive N300,000 and N200,000 cash prizes respectively. There will also be consolation prizes for the participants that made the first ten list.
The consolation prize winners are:

6) Ayodele Yussuf Olajide (University of Lagos)
7) Ignatius- Nwokolo Chidi (University of Nigeria Nsukka)
