The School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka has announced the release of the 2014/2015 Postgraduate Screening test result.
All candidates who sat for the UNN 2014/2015 Postgraduate Screening Exam are directed to access their results online on the university portal, www.unnportal.com.
Simple Steps To Check the UNN Postgraduate Screening Result:
1) Visit the University of Nigeria Portal, www.unnportal.com
2) Click on the PG Aptitude Test Result link (towards the centre of the unnportal homepage)
3) Enter your Application Form Number, and result checking scratch card Access Code in the spaces provided
4) then click the Login button to check the result.
Note:
(1) The Scratch Card required to check Post Graduate result is the same with that used by Under graduate aspirants/Post utme candidates and can be 0btained from any of First Bank of Nigeria PLC, Diamond Bank PLC, Fidelity Bank PLC, Zenith Bank, UBA or the University of Nigeria Micro Finance bank.

@,Think. I was in UNN yesterday, non of the banks( First, UBA, Diamond and Access) accepted the acceptance fee. Each of them complained of net work failure

i paid for ma acceptance fee, confirmed ma payment; it was successful and printed ma admission letter. I did everytin here in kaduna. So distance is not an issue.

When to first bank, fidelity bank and diamond bank at my locality, they all said the e transact site is not uploading for unn pg acceptance fee. Is it only the bank in the school that can do this. Thanks.

The procedure to pay ur acceptance fee is as follows… go to the univ portal, click pg acceptance after that a page displaying print payment invoice will come up…type in ur form number and retype to confirm…after doing this, ur payment invoice will be displayed…print the two copies…proceed to the bank and pay using the invoice number as the unn account number…u will be given a print out of ur confirmation order…get bk to the portal and confirm payment. …if u experience any problem while on the portal u jst have to be patient and keep trying.

The website has been under construction for a long time. let us wait for the list and stop anticipating. Many weeks has passed since our anticipation. If they like they should hold it till next year. No body should b confused now. School is resuming on d 27th. The list is ready, according to source, is just to b uploaded in net. school fee is about 58 -60k depending on d department. but u may pay other charges.
PPls school is resuming for first degree students not for u. For God sake the list is yet to come out.. 27th is less than one week. Pray for the list to come out first.ok

Yes, the acceptance fee is included in the 78000 which is the fee for new students. And the normal fee for returning regular pg student is 68,000. I just finished my M.Ed this year n I’m comn back for my PhD from this same school. Remember every payment is tru E-transact.

Sch fees for regular is 78000, part time is 73000 while sandwich is 40—-. Accommodation fee for those that would stay in the hostel is 34000.

It simply means the card has been used (just as the message says). Who got the card for you? If you wish, you can make use of our services as regard getting the scratch card. Check the post we made on that..

Angry guy, calling the University of Nigeria names isn’t going to solve anything. The fact that admission list is not yet out doesn’t mean it would never be out. we want you to know that people are working tirelessly to make sure that the ‘I’s’ and the ‘Ts’ are properly dotted and crossed so that there won’t be much issues when PG list is eventually released. The best you can do is to be thankful.

I urge u guys to thank God 4 ur admission is certain. The delay in d release of the list is bcos some departments did not compile d list n send to pg on time. Even now not all d departments have sent their list. The issue is the adjustment that was done in order to admit d required num of students in each department. Understand policies n procedures involved in such matter. Be it as it may, expect list to be uploaded next wk or upper wk. This info was confidentially released yesterday. Don’t ask for source. Such a long wait! This is very destabilising because some of us have just been idling away time all in the name of waiting for the list….that of last year didn’t take time at all, the only challange they had afterwards was the strike but since there’s no strike right now, what then is the problem?
If you’re so much in a hurry then we’ll advise you check at you’re department (with the Secretary of the department) if your name is on the list compiled by them. The list will be out before you know it. Happy Independence, Mr. Odiegwu.

I am sure d poor performance wud hav been avoided if d test was based on proposed course of study. U dont expect someone who’s nt used to GMAT to do well in dat test. unn, in her advert, for pg applicants, said candidates with good second class results shuld apply. If they mean CGPA of 3.5 they would have said only the candidates with second class upper should apply. A friend of mine with CGPA of 3.36 has seen his name in d admision list. In my own opionion, CGPA of 3.00 is good to go..

I applied for M.Sc Climate Change Economics,Policy and Innovations with 52. With what I saw here I guess the cut-off should not be a problem but the transcript because I did not do any follow-up,I live in Ogun State and has almost no contact in Nsukka.
What is the way forward, another thing is if the programme will start as it did not take-off last year as expected.

I learned unn hold a board meeting to decides the suitability of candidates for admission. people with CGPA less than 3.5 are marked NQ not qualified, also people with beec certificate are marked NQ. Pls. Vom, Shalom and didee and every other persons in this room look in to my case objectively and come up with your views and advise also my chances for admission. they have said that they will not compromise standards 3.5 and above. instead they will bring the cut off mark to20

I went to my department yesterday, 10th and asked the secretary to bring out PG admission list for me to check my status. That was hw i saw my mine with the supervisor assigned to me.

Someone just posted that the PG admission list has been out for over three weeks now, and that you can pay for your acceptance fee if your name is in d list. To check your name, go to the UNN PG portal, click on “Acceptance Form” which is highlighted in red, fill that form with your 6-digit application number. If the acceptance form opens wit the details of your acceptance charge, this would mean that you have been admitted and then you can proceed to payment, If on the other hand you see a blank page after inserting your 6-digit application number on d acceptance form, then it would mean that your admission is not yet approved!
QUESTIONS:
Is this true? Has anyone confirmed this by actually printing out their own admission acceptance form ? Does it mean that admission list has been c0mpleted and computerized for over 3 weeks now and no one seems to know about it? Your comments please.

cut off mark is resting at 28 for so many dept. but your dept i cant tell. it also depends on your cgpa to be offered admission.
transcript and other documents are submitted to the pg school, now at what time do pg school need to transfer the transcript to the dept. again somebody clear me with these questions 1. is it all the applicant transcript they move to the dept.? 2 what are their reason for moving these transcripts? 3 what is the process of giving admission, from the dept or pg school? could it be only candidate they want to process their admission that they send for the transcript? pls vom and didee and other good guys and babe of this house, am waiting for response. thanks.

@ linda: ur transcript is part of ur documents. It wud b required at evry stage where ur file gets to. Usually wen it has been attached to ur file, it wil b boldly written ”WITH TRANSCRIPT”

@Engr Val: wat did u score? Getin d txt only implies ur file has reached d dept, and is bein treated. Availability of supervisor in ur proposed area of study, cod, trnskrpt etc wud com into play. U may get d text & stil nt b given ad. If a dept wants only 50 based on d num of supervisor it can provide, and abt 70 was adjudged to hav passed d test by d pg school, den u see dat nt evribody wil get d ad. At dis point ur score in d test wud nt mater much. U may score high and ders no supervisr 4 ur propsed area, and someone scores less bt applied in an area wit available supervisor and d rest wud b history. Watch and Pray!

it depends on ur area of specializati6n. U might even b the best scorer in ur area. U might even be the only person in ur own area of study. It is even posible that those that performed better than may be disqualified as a result of transcript or other problems.

@ Name(required), the application number you will put there, is the one written on that transcript or referee report form. Not the application number you generated for payment. Try that.

No mata hw tough an exam my b, der are always d bad guys who wud squash! As for cut of marks, 40 is usually a pass mark 4 most exams, Especially pg exams. It depends on d gen performance in dat dept. I dont need to say dat some dept are more competitive dan odas, and in dis case, d cut off myt b higher. I have no knowlege of wat d marks wud b for respective depts dough. just be expectant and optimistic. Less dan 3000 wrote d test, and am sure an extimate of abt 2000 wud b granted admission. My thinking dough.

40-50 for pg students shud be enof to give u admission. Dis shud b dependent on oda factors d dept wud sort dat out. Like percentage of students dat scored high, availability of supervisor in proposed area of study, transcript and class of degree. My thinking dough.
