2011/2012 UNN DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION: REGISTRATION, SCREENING AND INTERVIEW DATE

                2011/2012 SCREENING AND INTERVIEW FOR DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION
          Candidates for Direct Entry Admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka who have registered with Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and have a Degree or at least a Merit/Lower credit level pass in Diploma or NCE are invited for screening and interview.

1.    SCREENING EXERCISE

The screening will be conducted at the Nsukka campus of the Universityon Friday, September 30, 2011 at 8.30am.ON-LINE PRE-REGISTRATION

a)    Eligible candidate should pay a processing fee of one thousand Naira (N1,000.00) and obtain a scratch card for on-line pre-registration at the designated branches of:
–    Intercontinental Bank Plc,
–    Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, in the major cities of the Federation.

b)     On-line pre-registration commences on Monday, September 19, 2011 and ends on Monday, September 26, 2011. Those who fail to register within this period will not be screened.
With the scratch card, candidate should access and complete the University of Nigeria 2011/2012 Direct Entry screening form on-line at www.unnportal.com .

c)  All candidates are required to bring the following for the screening exercise:
i)  A copy of on-line form carrying the candidate’s passport-sized photograph and duly completed;
ii) 2011/2012 Direct Entry JAMB Registration slip;
iii) HB pencil and Eraser.

No GSM handsets, calculators or any other extraneous materials should be brought into the screening hall.
Information on the halls for the screening will be made available on the University of Nigeria website, www.unn.edu.ng, a day to the screening date.

VISUALLY IMPAIRED CANDIDATES
Blind candidates are not invited to the screening, but they should register on-line.
SCREENING RESULT
The result of the screening exercise can be accessed at the University of Nigeria Portal www.unnportal.com from Saturday, October 01, 2011, with the designated scratch card obtainable from the same banks as in (a) above.

2.    INTERVIEW SCHEDULE

Candidates who score 160 or above in the screening will be interviewed at Nsukka and Enugu campuses of the University on the following dates:

–    Abuja – Cadastral Branch, Abuja;
–    Lagos – Adeniran Ogusanya, Surulere, Lagos;
–    Port Harcourt – Olu Obasanjo, Port Harcourt;
–    Nsukka – All three Branches at Nsukka.

        HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE EXAM
         The best way to prepare for the screening exam at this moment is to get a glimpse of how the exam questions will look like. 
          From the previous years’ experience, the Direct Entry(DE) exam is normally a written text exactly in the format of that of Post Ume candidates which is four(4) subjects consisting of 15 questions in each of the subjects. The subjects are The Use of English(Compulsory) plus any other three subjects. You may be required to compulsorily write a subject relating to your field(course of choice) in addition to the Use of English, then any other two subjects of your choice.
