WAEC, NECO Result Not Yet Out, Can I write Post Utme?

My WAEC, NECO Result not yet out, can I write UNN Post Utme? This is a common question we have received many times and have decided to address today.

The simple answer to the question is Yes, UNN as well as most other Universities allow awaiting result candidates to participate in their Post Utme screening exercise. Candidates who wrote this year’s May/June Waec and June/July Neco SSCE fall into the category of awaiting result candidates. This category of candidates are expected to indicate “Awaiting Result” when prompted for O’level results while filling in their Post Ume application form.

However, admitted candidates are expected to have their results ready before they could be cleared and confirmed students of the University.
Not having a complete O’level result with the required number of credit passes can lead to forfeiture of an already offered admission.

Other Related Questions; (i) Does the University accept NECO certificates? The answer is Yes.

(ii) Can I combine NECO and WAEC results for acceptance into any department? Yes. But this combination will not hold for Medicine.

We hope this addressed all related questions. Best Wishes in Your Exams…
