The UDdusok postgraduate form 2018 admission is now available.\u00a0Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Full-Time and Part-Time Postgraduate Programmes of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUSOK) for the 2018\/2019 Academic Session.<\/p>\n
The University runs Postgraduate Programmes leading to the award of the following:
\n1. Postgraduate Diploma
\n2. Academic Masters
\n3. Professional Masters
\n4. M.Phil \/ Ph.D. for those that could be upgraded to Ph.D.
\n5. Ph.D.<\/p>\n
Admission Requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n (a) Postgraduate Diploma (b) Masters’ Degree (Academic and Professional)\u00a0The following may qualify for the Masters Degree admission: (c) Master of Philosophy (M. Phil.) (d) Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) How To Apply:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
\nThe following may qualify for the Postgraduate Diploma admission:
\n(i) Graduates of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto or other recognized\u00a0institutions.
\n(ii) Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) (not HD) with a minimum of\u00a0Lower Credit pass or its equivalent in relevant areas.
\n(iii) In special cases, holders of HND with minimum of Lower Credit pass in nonrelated\u00a0areas may be admitted after passing such tests as may be prescribed by\u00a0the Departments\/Faculties.
\n(iv) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the above which are acceptable to\u00a0the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
\n(v) In addition to (i) – (iv) above, a candidate must satisfy the University’s minimum\u00a0requirement(s) for matriculation i.e five (5) relevant O\/L credits including\u00a0English Language & Mathematics.<\/p>\n
\n(i) Graduates of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto or other recognized\u00a0institutions who have obtained the approved degree of Bachelor with at least\u00a0second-class division or its equivalent, or candidates with University degree and\u00a0appropriate Postgraduate Diploma of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto or\u00a0other recognized institutions with at least a credit level pass.
\n(ii) Candidates whose degrees are unclassified with average of “C” or 50% or
\nabove. Such candidates may be subjected to qualifying tests.
\n(iii) Candidates with only Bachelors degree in Third Class division and a relevant\u00a0Postgraduate Diploma.
\n(iv) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are\u00a0acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
\n(v) Candidates may be required to pass examination set by departments to which\u00a0they are seeking admission to determine their suitability for postgraduate work.
\n(vi) In addition to (i) -(v) above, a candidate must satisfy the University’s\u00a0requirements for matriculation i.e five (5) relevant O\/L credits including English\u00a0Language & Mathematics.<\/p>\n
\nThe following may qualify for Master of Philosophy admission:
\n(i) Graduates of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto or other recognized\u00a0institutions who have obtained a Masters degree with a GPA of less than 3.0 on\u00a0a 4-point scale or less than 4.0 on 5-point scale.
\n(ii) Holders of a Masters degree in a cognate discipline with a GPA of 4 and above.
\n(iii) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are\u00a0acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
\n(iv) In addition to (i) – (iii) above, a candidate must satisfy the University’s minimum\u00a0requirements for matriculation i.e five (5) relevant O\/L credits including English\u00a0Language & Mathematics.<\/p>\n
\nThe following may qualify for the Doctor of Philosophy admission:
\n(i) Graduates of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto and other recognized\u00a0institutions who have obtained good Masters Degree with a GPA of not less\u00a0than 4.0 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale appropriate to the proposed\u00a0areas of study.
\n(ii) Graduates of Usmanu Danfodiyo University and other recognized institutions who\u00a0have obtained Masters of Philosophy degree appropriate to the proposed areas of\u00a0study.
\n(iii) In addition to (i) and (ii) above candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s\u00a0Degree in Second Class lower division.
\n(iv) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the above acceptable to the Board\u00a0of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
\n(v) In addition to (i) – (iv) above, a candidate must satisfy the University’s\u00a0requirements for matriculation i.e five (5) relevant O\/L credits including English\u00a0Language & Mathematics.<\/p>\n
