{"id":41645,"date":"2018-04-12T08:32:09","date_gmt":"2018-04-12T07:32:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unn-edu.info\/?p=41645"},"modified":"2018-04-12T08:32:09","modified_gmt":"2018-04-12T07:32:09","slug":"fed-poly-bauchi-matriculates-4990-students-for-2017-18-session","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unn-edu.info\/2018\/04\/fed-poly-bauchi-matriculates-4990-students-for-2017-18-session.html","title":{"rendered":"Fed Poly Bauchi Matriculates 4,990 Students for 2017\/18 Session"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Fed Poly Bauchi Matriculates 4,990 Students for 2017\/18 Session.<\/h2>\n<p>The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, on Wednesday matriculated 4, 990 students admitted into its various programmes for the 2017\/2018 session.<\/p>\n<p>\u200eThe Rector of the Polytechnic, Mr Sunusi Gumau who disclosed this at matriculation ceremony of the new students in Bauchi, explained that 8, 409 applicants were admitted into the polytechnic but only 4, 990 registered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related:<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/unn-edu.info\/2017\/09\/waec-english-answers.html\">Waec English Language 2018 Essay Past Questions<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to him, the polytechnic has recorded rapid progress, producing excellent students, in spite of challenges in the areas of infrastructure, funding and governance.<\/p>\n<p>Gumau warned the students against engaging in social vices like cultism, drug use and drug abuse, smoking, fighting or stealing.<\/p>\n<p>\u200eHe urged the staff and students of the institution to support management\u2019s efforts to make the institution a model for others.<\/p>\n<p>\u200eGumau announced that the institution has established contacts with four prominent Nigerian institutions namely, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, University of Maiduguri and Nigerian Defense Academy with a view to introduce 17 degree programmes in the institution.
