<\/p>\nList of illegal universities in Nigeria as published by the National Universities Commission (NUC) can be viewed in details here.<\/p>\n
The NUC wishes to inform\u00a0the general public, especially parents and prospective undergraduates,\u00a0that the under-listed \u201cDegree Mills\u201d have not been licensed by the Federal Government and have, therefore, been closed down for violating the Education (National Minimum Standards etc) Act CAP E3 Law of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.<\/p>\n

List of Illegal Universities Closed Down by NUC \u2013 March 2019:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n 1) University of Accountancy and Management Studies, operating\u00a0anywhere in Nigeria. In addition to the closure, the following Degree Mills are currently undergoing\u00a0further investigations and\/or ongoing court actions. The purpose of these actions\u00a0is to prosecute the proprietors and recover illegal fees and charges on subscribers.<\/p>\n 1) National University of Nigeria, Keffi, Nasarawa State For the avoidance of doubt, anybody who patronises or obtains any certificate from\u00a0any of these illegal institutions does so at his or her own risk. Certificates obtained\u00a0from these sources will not be recognised for the purposes of NYSC, employment,\u00a0and further studies.\u00a0The relevant Law enforcement agencies have also been informed for their further\u00a0necessary action.<\/p>\n
