Who can apply?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nThe merit-based scholarship is in two categories – the National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award.<\/p>\n
\n- National Merit Award (NM)\u00a0<\/strong>Open to all Nigerians.<\/li>\n
- Areas of Operation Merit Award\u00a0<\/strong>For Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC\u2019s operational area in Abia, Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and Rivers States.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Eligible Applicants must:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria<\/li>\n
- Be registered FULL TIME undergraduates in an accredited and approved University in Nigeria<\/li>\n
- Have a minimum of seven credits, at one sitting, including O\/Levels Mathematics and English<\/li>\n
- Have a minimum of 200 score in UTME<\/li>\n
- Be in 200 level with a minimum grade CGPA of 2.5<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
How to Apply:<\/span><\/h3>\n\n- All applicants should have their personal valid email account (for consistent communication).<\/li>\n
- All applications must be done online, via https:\/\/www.spdc-jv-scholarship.shell.com\u00a0<\/strong>to apply.<\/li>\n
- A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant (i.e. jpeg format, not more than 200kilobytes).<\/li>\n
- University or JAMB (UTME or D\/E) Admission Letter.<\/li>\n
- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Scores.<\/li>\n
- \u2018O\u2019 Level Result(s); and \u2018A\u2019 Level \/OND \/NCE Result(s) as applicable.<\/li>\n
- Letter of Identification from State (showing Local Government) of Origin.<\/li>\n
- Scanned copies of letters of identification, (which must be duly stamped and signed) by:\n
\n- The Paramount Ruler of the Community; and<\/li>\n
- \u00a0The Chairman of the Community Development or Executive Council (CDC or CEC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
This is also required of applicants for the Operational Area Awards. The letters should be addressed to The Manager, Social Investment, Shell Petroleum Development Company, Port Harcourt.<\/p>\n
Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Maximum document size must be 200KB and image format must be JPEG.<\/li>\n
- Applications closes<\/li>\n
- There will be no selection test (selection is based on combined academic performance) and ONLY shortlisted candidates will be contacted<\/li>\n
- Shell does not demand payment from applicants and does not assign \u2018agents\u2019 or \u2018representatives\u2019 to assist applicants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
