The African Development Bank (ADB) invites applications from interested and qualified candidates for the Young Professionals Program (YPP) for the year 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The African Development Bank (AfDB) is a regional multilateral development bank, engaged in promoting the economic and social development of its 54 Regional Member Countries. Its mission is to mobilize and allocate resources to provide a wide range of investment, loan and guarantee products, as well as technical assistance to its African member countries for development projects and programs that contribute to poverty reduction in Africa and facilitate its sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p>The Young Professionals Program (YPP) is a three year leadership opportunity for the development of Bank\u2019s future leaders. We attract highly qualified and motivated professionals from our member countries for a productive and rewarding career path in development. Through the YPP, the Bank ensures continuity and excellence in both the management of its work programs and the provision of policy advice to its regional member countries.<\/p>\n<p>We expect to offer this opportunity to\u00a030 candidates\u00a0for the\u00a02018 cohort.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-38468 \" src=\"https:\/\/unn-edu.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/african-development-bank-young-professionals.jpg\" alt=\"african development bank young professionals\" width=\"627\" height=\"286\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Eligibility Requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To join, candidates should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a citizen of a regional or non-regional\u00a0AfDB member country<\/li>\n<li>Be 32 years of age or younger by 31st December, 2017<\/li>\n<li>Possess a Master\u2019s degree or equivalent in any discipline that is relevant to the business of the Bank, with outstanding academic credentials<\/li>\n<li>Have at least 3 years work experience in the areas related to our\u00a0high priority areas (Hi-5s).<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable on-the-ground\/hands-on\u00a0 experience on the African continent and\/or in other continent\u2019s developing countries<\/li>\n<li>Have passion for\u00a0 Africa\u2019s Development<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate strengths in leadership including leading others<\/li>\n<li>Able to leverage knowledge, share and coach others<\/li>\n<li>Effectively work in teams with adaptability to a diverse environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills, an entrepreneurial drive,\u00a0 results-orientation and problem-solving capability<\/li>\n<li>Business Acumen and innovation mindset.<\/li>\n<li>Be proficient in the Bank\u2019s working languages, either English and\/or French.<\/li>\n<li>Have skills that enable you work in a digital environment and embrace technology as it evolves<\/li>\n<li>Be willing to live in Abidjan, Cote d\u2019Ivoire the Bank\u2019s Headquarters, and travel to undertake country assignments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Method Of Application<\/strong><\/span>:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Please note that application for admission to the AfDB YPP is an\u00a0online process.
