University of Nigeria\u2019s 43rd Convocation Ceremonies Holds March 24th – 30th, 2014<\/span><\/h2>\n

The 43rd convocation ceremonies of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka will hold from Monday, March 24 to Saturday, March 29, 2014.<\/p>\n

Over 15,000 graduands are expected to receive higher degrees, first degrees and certificates at the occasion.<\/p>\n

According to the programme of activities, the ceremonies will start with a Press Briefing by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bartho N. Okolo, at the Enugu Campus of the University, on Monday, March 24, 2014.<\/p>\n

Convocation Lecture:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The convocation lecture, titled \u201cAfter the\u00a0 Insurgency: Some Thoughts on National Cohesion\u201d\u00a0 is scheduled to hold on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 12.00 noon.\u00a0 The lecture will be delivered by His Lordship, Most Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, Bishop of Sokoto Diocese,\u00a0 Catholic Diocese of Sokoto,\u00a0 at the Princess Alexandria Auditorium (PAA) at the Nsukka campus of the University.<\/p>\n

First degrees and certificates will be awarded on Friday, March 28, 2014, while higher degrees and honorary degrees will be awarded on Saturday, March 29, 2014.<\/p>\n

All graduands are expected to arrive at the Nsukka campus of the University on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Every graduands is entitled to two invitation cards for his\/her guests.<\/p>\n

Academic Regalia:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Academic regalia will be available for collection from the Faculty Officers on presentation of evidence of payment of Sundry\/Service Charges and convocation levy of N10,000.00 to the University of Nigeria Account\u00a0 (UNN A\/c no.. 0019441903 at any Branch of Diamond Bank plc.<\/p>\n

Purchase\/Hire of Regalia<\/strong><\/p>\n

For Postgraduates, the regalia will be available at the School of Postgraduate Studies for purchase at N20,000.00 for Ph.D., and for hire at N10,000.00 for both Ph.D. and Masters Degree. The Convocation Order of Proceedings will also be available for sale for all postgraduate students.<\/p>\n

All hired regalia must be returned to the Registrar\/Postgraduate School by Monday, March 31, 2014.<\/p>\n

Collection of Order of Proceedings, Certificate Scrolls and Certificates:<\/strong><\/p>\n

All graduands are also required to collect copies of the Order of Proceedings, Certificate Scrolls and Certificates at the various Faculties and the School\u00a0 immediately after the Convocation.<\/p>\n
