JAMB Post Utme Cut Off Mark for UNN and other Universities / Polytechnics in Nigeria 2017.
Many JAMBites on the Unn Info Facebook Group have continued to ask questions about JAMB cut off mark for 2017 Post Utme. We have always stated that no cut off mark has been fixed for this year’s screening exam. However, we have gone ahead to gather from a reliable source, the official cut off points used by various Universities and Polytechnics in Nigeria during the last year’s screening exercise. This we believe will give you a glimpse of what to expect this year. See full report below;
Below is a list of Nigerian Universities with their respective JAMB Cut off marks. The cutoff mark here is the minimum JAMB UTME score a candidate is expected to have before he or she could sit for Post Utme/screening exam or be admitted at the individual Universities and Polytechnics.
The listed JAMB Cut-off Marks are those used by the institutions in the 2015/2016 admission year. The Schools are yet to announce any change to the cut off marks for the 2017/2018 session.
NB: The official cut off mark used by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka last year was 200. Other institutions cut off marks were as follows;

JAMB Cut off mark for polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria are generally 150.

We advice UNN aspirants who did not score up to 200 in this year’s JAMB UTME, expecially those going for competitive courses like accountancy, economics, Law, Mass Comm, Med & Surgery, Nursing, Med Lab, Pharmacy etc. to consider buying a change of institution form. This is because even if the university sets 180 as it’s cut off mark for post utme this year, you will still be facing an uphill task of competing with your many colleagues who must have scored far above 200.
Note: The above advice is specifically for candidates going for the competitive courses mentioned above. Those courses usually have large number of applicants. We will soon publish the statistics of candidates that chose those courses in UNN this year to help you understand better what we are saying.

Let me use this opportunity to warn those who are applying for very competitive courses with a low score….E.g those applying for med/surg or pharmacy with JAMB score less than 280..d ball is in your court but u also gat to make a good choice now u still have d tym….

Internal Change of course in UNN is dependent on the departmental policies at the time you are applying for the change and also your academic performance (A high CGPA will be an added advantage).
