  • @ Vic yes I called two people in that office who confirmed that its no longer GMAT but discipline based. ….. @ Mary the second person who confirmed the mode of the exam had asked me, What course did you study? when I told me, he asked again what course did you apply for? then I told him, he replied that my questions will come from Lib and Info sci that I studied and applied for. the issues of applying in a different course other than the one you studied didn’t arise. or more clarity contact me via 07039445894

  • @Supremo Isaac, please how reliable is your source? because some of us had been preparing based on GMAT while some on faculty based simply implied nobody knew the actual area where the test will come from. If your info is true we shall all for ever be grateful to you and God for giving out the right information at right timing. I wouldn’t mind whatsapp contact with anybody with a reliable info. Thanks.

  • This will be the third year running that the postgraduate examination has been conducted. The questions are basically GMAT. An insider from the postgraduate office at UNEC told me that questions might also come up from ones field of specialisation. As of the time of filling this report the exam date is August 21st(still subject to change).
Due to the increment in school fees, about 5000 people purchased the form against the 8000 of the last section.
Many people will be offered admission. All the same, study, pray and get ready.

  • pls house, how do i generate invoice

    Reply
  • House, for those who are yet to pay, kindly go to the bank that operate the E-tranzact with the invoice u earlier generated. Tell them to ignore the N26200 on the invoice, tell them that u wgenerated
ill pay N26500 and that should be the amount they should use to generate the pin for u. Even if the banker says otherwise, insist u want to pay N26500 and your pin b generated with dis amount. This is to avoid d rejection of ur pin after paying N26200. U fill d deposit slip leaving d account name and account number spaces empty because the the bank uses E-tranzact mode for dis opration.
Always enquire first if they do E-tranzact. So I advise you guyz to go to first bank before anyother bank. As i said I used the first bank inside Nsukka campus all d way from the north bcoz many banks i tried making d payment said they r yet to receive d instruction from their main branch, and also after reading people complains. So to avoid all possible challenge, I decided to go to Nsukka campus and get the real information about d amount to b paid. Now am done with my online application which I’ve submitted. Remaining d submittion of the printed forms, d credentials, refrees reports and to process my transcript.
Any1 paying less than N26500 is likely to experience pin rejection.

    Reply
  • Hello house, note that the real amount to be paid is N26500 not N26300. After reading people’s complains, I went straight to Nsukka all the way from the north to enquired. The school of postgraduate confirmed to me that the amount to be paid is N26500. I made my payement there inside the school at first bank. I paid N26500, and I got my pin. The same day I was able to complete and submit my online application and also printed all the other forms needed. Is now left for me to process for my transcript and get my refrees to fill the forms before the final submittion as indicated.

    • Vivian, you should go to the bank and fill a deposit teller for 300naira. then the bank should give you another conformation order. I dont understand the type of dunce Banks this days employ. 26,200 is in the payment invoice, but 26,500 is what usually appear on the system of the bank, I don’t know why they will still be asking for 26,200, knowing it will give the prospective student problems. the amount to be payed is 26,500 naira and not 26,200. good luck.!

  • I made a payment yesterday at Diamond bank branch for the form after I got an invoice payment earlier on. However, I couldn’t proceed with the registration because the pin failed to generate at the bank. After several trial, the bank this evening refunded my money.
I’m please calling on UNN to fix the problem so that people are not unduly stressed.

    Thanks

    • @FAVOUR: YOU CANNOT SWITCH FROM ANY OTHER DEPARTMENT TO ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT WITHOUT GOING THROUGH A CONVERSION PROGRAMME (IN THIS CASE A PGD). MOST APPLICANTS IN THE PAST WERE ADVICED TO DO PGD FIRST AND NOW SOME OF THEM ARE GOING FOR MASTERS. SO, YOU WILL HAVE TO DO PGD FIRST

    • @Chris, at First bank main branch in Makurdi, I strongly believe is more of a software technicality issue than location. The process of application is clearly stated out on the application manual and is very simple to understand, location has nothing or very little to do with the application process, once the Internet network service provider you are using is stable and ok.

  • I am from Cameroon, I completed my first degree in Nigeria. But the school has not issued me an exemption letter for NYSC, though I was not mobilized. And when I approached them they said there is no need for me to be offfered an exemption letter since my nationality automatically exempts me from the service. Please should I go ahead and apply without an NYSC exemption letter?
Please help me with an answer. Thanks

Onyinye, Just pray they extend the application period like they did last year. If they do, you will be able to apply. Goodluck

    • @OKPALA ONYINYE: DONT ASSUME THINGS. VISIT THE PG SCHOOL OR BETTER STILL, SEND SOMEONE YOU KNOW TO THE PG SCHOOL WITH RESPECT TO YOUR SITUATION.

      Reply
    • ONYINYE, my candid advise is for you to go to Pg school and make that inquiry. 2 months ago I met the desk woman at the Pg office and she told me it is possible. My friend was also there a month ago and he got the same reply. Mine will be Nov 2015.

      • Hi Uzomah!
I just saw your post in response to OYINYE’s enquiry and wish to ask for myself if it’s true that one hoping to pass out in Nov. 2015 could apply too. I’m serving where travelling is a luxury that I can not afford presently. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks!
Also, please you have any idea of the nature of the screening test and maybe Past Questions?
