    • @ Nello.. I am deeply sorry for that. U have to try to relogin to enable you print out your receipt. But, if the system reads ” We just confirmed that you have paid your fees and you don’t need to pay again”, just relax and proceed for your registration. This signifies that your payment has been captured by the University.

I wish you goodluck in ur future endeavours.

N.B. Those @ UNEC could not do any verification till date cos the management insist that we must Print out our Particulars Of Admission and Course Registration online to avoid repeatition of the process. D/4, I still count that as an advantage for those of our colleagues who have not paid their fees .So, they should not lose hope in search of the money. Enjoy ( Concerned Citizen)

Moreso, u can see Dr (Mrs) Onah @ the UNN PG school and not UNEC. The Portal is controlled from Nsukka Campus and not Enugu. Or u send ur Pg Application number, Payment Confirmation Order Number and Invoice number to 08034607689 so that I can see to that.

But for those on the supplementary (additional) Admission List released on 17th Dec,2013, the Post Graduate Portal Admin is working seriously to uploading yours. If you are @ Nsukka or Enugu for the payment and you wishes to travel, U can emback on your jouney and do the payment at the comfort of your home. U must not come to Nsukka or Enugu to generate your payment invoice. It’s done online anywhere in Nigeria @ any of the banks that has e-Tranzact Platform. • @ Chioma.. U are truly right in what u just said. Our page Is not created or uploaded yet. Those that succeeded in the payment used that of 2012/13 session And they detected the error and reported to the PG Portal Admin that led to the prohibition of Access to the Postraduate Portal Login. We have to wait till they rectify the problem and get it uploaded.

Infact, the message I got this morning (13/01/14) from a reliable PG staff @ UNEC, instructed that Verification is to commence properly on 20th January and to last till february.

Beware of those that will tell you that they have gotten their Admission letter/Slip because they are there to deceive you to encounter the same error which they had. U must not go to UNN or UNEC to make your online payment. Just Visit any of the listed banks on e-Tranzact and Make your payment when u must have gotten your Payment reference Invoice. Thanks for your peaceful coexistence.

Their Admission letter bears 2012/13 session instead of 2013/14, No Admission number was issued. Why ? This is because the Admission Notification Page, Fees Payment page for 2013/14 session have not been uploaded @ the UNN Portal. Please, slow and steady wins the race.

I left my job for a pgd (not msc) cos I know it’s long term benefits. either u forfeit Unn and apply at Benue state university next year and hold on to the job and a msc program IF YOU CAN’T AFFORD THE COST OF STUDY NOW , or u come for this particular one now and get an edge later.
    Goodluck

    Reply
  • @Busuyem. I tink it will depend on d value u attach to both. If u value the masters programme, that is, obtaing a higher degree to working for forty k, u can opt for the msc. But if d wrk is more important than d msc to u , then u can go for d wrk. But my own advice is that u shld come for ur msc, there re and there will b better opportunity for u. Forfeiting an msc programme for a forty k job that doesnt guarantee a gud career does nt worth it. If u can afford d programme just come for it. Its once in a life time. After ur course wrk u can take up watever job in watever state. Atleast then u will only b comig to unn once in a while to submit ur thesis.

  • ASUU STRIKE UPDATE: FG, ASUU Reach Agreement Over Strike
The Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities have reached an agreement to end the over five month old strike by ASUU. The lecturer’s association has however said that its members may return to work next week.

The Supervising Minister of Education, Mr. Nyesom Wike told journalists at a meeting with the leadership of ASUU, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Universities Commission and five vice- chancellors of universities that all contending issues between the parties have been resolved.

The parties signed a document to seal the agreement which spells great hope that the over five-month old strike may be called off within one week, although the president of ASUU, Professor Nasir Faggae declined to say what was contained in the document.

ASUU’s demands include the upward review of the retirement age for professors from 65 to 70; adequate funding to revitalise the university system; progressive increase of budgetary allocations to the education sector by 26 per cent; transfer of federal government property to universities; setting up of research and development units by companies; payment of earned allowances; and renegotiation of the signed agreement.

The agreement between the two is reached barely 24 hours after the Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe presented a proof of payment of N200 billion into an account with the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The strike began on July 1st 2013 and lasted for over five months before this resolution was reached.

President Jonathan wouldn’t have have had a tangible excuse like the Israeli president. this strike will end soon. just take things easy o. Besides, the reason he didn’t hive a speech at Mandela’s memorial is not in any way connected to current events in Nigeria. strike go soon end. make we enter 2014 first

    • Wilson, your post is unintelligible and total gibberish. Why can’t you just take a few minutes to compose your sentences properly so that they can be understood by your readers? Next time, please show some respect to your readers by putting some miniscule effort into what you are writing and presenting to us, so that we may equally reciprocate the respect to you. I do not mean to insult you, but it was just too annoying attempting to make sense out of the nonsense you posted above, (and without success I might add because I still do not understand what the FCUK you are talking about in your post). Actually it is clearly scandalous and an outrage that an intending POST GRADUATE student, such as yourself, would (no matter the circumstances) post such nonsensical gibberish as you posted above. It is shameful and appalling. Please show us some respect here. Be intelligible when you write to us. Is that asking for too much? Thank you for understanding.

Self contain, kitchen and toilets are tiled, painted, neat environs within the building, also #20 distance from the market, trekkable distance from the gate. • When i said things are happening in UNN PG school, some think am nt right! So sorry my bro dat u fell victim. I advice, u take it with fate…cos the list dat came out, when u closely look at the heading reads ” Primary and supplementary list”! Some people dat scored even below 20% but went ahead to make the list dont know the reason why….the list is a combination of both Primary and supplementary! My brother, it will ONLY take the grace of God, the VC or the president for UNN to release another name or attach another name ‘officially’, to the already publishd names(the truth is hard, but must be told)! Am an alumni, i know what UNN is capable of! Just accept it with fate since u hv been to ur department in UNN and nothing was done! There must be a reason for ur omission n its only ur HOD dat has an answer to dat, but for him to alter an already publishd list….i doubt d possibility!

Just mke sure u check on them, go there complain show ur credentials to evryone there, demand to knw why ur name was nt on d list. D reason why am saying dis, is bcos u may choose nt to go and lata some pple will tell u they went and was given admission. Pls just try and check on them. Also, i tope u dont ve problems wth them at d dept since u did ur hnd wth them. I hope u did nt ve any problem wth d dept prior to ur application. Another thin is , u can decide to accept it as ur fate and believe it is divinely planned by God for u. Believing that God does’nt want u to come to unn if not ur name would ve been on d list. And there are lots of benefits dat goes with UNN PG hostel…its only ONE building of 4 story. There r free internet browsing 24/7(i can bet u on dat),full security, light(generator from 7pm-10pm if therez no light),water.PGs are treated far more different to undergraduates, 3 in a room(spacious)! Rooms are limited, its on first come first serve basis…d earlier u get done with ur payments,d better. Off-campus in Nsukka is never expensive…4rm 15k u have a room for a session. Call me on 08034607689 .If what they did is good, let God pay them with their Own coin. Whatever, u sow , u must reap.

I scored 27.27 in d test, no NYSC discharge ( because I still dey serve naija), knew no one in UNN, though I had a 2.1 at 1st degree, YET I found my name in list.

I had no inkling that UNN will need my fees this session, but God has always been there. Friends, commit ur ways unto God, and He’ll direct your paths.

      God bless us all.

      • AUXTON, i’m sure u’v read reports by Collins and Stephen here who scored higher than 30% yet were unsuccessful. Don’t forget that Chinedu encouraged us to “runs” our application.
Our individual stories are unique. At least you know NOW that i’m not in any way related to the V.C
        Congrats to you

  • God i am grateful for seen me through. I know it was my impatience that made me obtained ABU Zaria PG form. now i am faced with the choice of selecting between UNN and ABU. Help men to make the right choice. Now i must state here that UNN is money monger institution. what was the essence of the test when i scored less than 30 but still made the list? can the money realized from the sales of scratch card solve their problem?

    • @BUSUYEM: Last session’s fee alone was almost 60k (59,600 to be precise)
For this session’s fee, i made a personal forecast of 85k to 90k. It may not be dat much but dats my forecast anyway. This excludes miscallenous expenses of transport, temporary accomodation, meals, photocopy, printing, bank charges etc

  • @Everyone. I couldnt believe that somebody wil score above 60 and yet his or her name wont b on d list. I find it hard to phantom that. Although am nt saying they re lying pls dnt get me wrong. I scored 50 in d test, i also applied without my nysc discharge certificate, i finished my service dis last june. I was skeptical at first wen they called us for d test i was surprised i was among d successful applicants. Even after d test i was skeptical on whether or not my name will finally comes out. I knw nobody in unn. I didnt meet anybody i didnt folo up anytin. I didnt even pray to get admission, God for giv me , yet i made d list. I tink for those that score well bt didnt see their names, it could b bcos of d following reasons 1 may b ur class of degree is too low. I mean d GP. Especially those wth less than 3 points, 2 may b ur transcript was nt found in ur file. 3 may b there is a mistake in ur documentations. May b d forms were nt properly filled. 4 random variables otherwise called stockastic storm may b another reason why d name wasnt found in d admission list. Random variables include other factors that we cannot account for. I will like to say dis , for those that secured d admission congrats. For those whose name was’nt on d list , dont b demoralised, those that secured d admission re nt in anyway better than u. God is ur strenght, u dont ve to condemn unn

    • @Omotunde. The same thing is applicable to me: I scored 54.55 in the screening, applied when I was still observing my NYSC (last batch B) and saw my name on the list. It’s God’s doing anyway. All is well with all.

  • May I say this, those of you who met the criteria( Gabriel&Collins) and still didnt find your names on the admission list should go and take it up with your depts or postgrad school. You guys’ names might have been skipped or something. Ya, it may be as simple as that. So dont let it go just like that- that’s if you’re still interested in the admission though. Just saying.

  • @BUSUYEM: chinedu may be right. I went to follow up on my application on June 26 and found dat my file was tagged “NO TRANSCRIPT”. Funny enough the lady that receives all transcripts on behalf of d SPGS was just 3 tables/desks away. It was found dat i didnt attach the TRANSCRIPT LABEL to my transcript. Many other transcripts were there. It could be transcript issue.

  • Y won’t dey process d transcript? How can I b invited 4 d exams and my transcript can’t b processed…. Everything was in a big brown envelope… @busuyem d same course I did my first degree on Pharm & Toxic

    Reply
    • It can’t be transcript problem because if it was, they wouldn’t invite u 4 the screening exam. Since u applied 4 the same course u studied in first degree, I think there’s a mistake on their part. Try and send message to their mail or go to the schl to remedy the anomally. It’s well with u my brother.

    • @COLLINS: some of us whose transcripts were not processed went to check. I did and believe it or not, my file which was tagged with “NO TRANSCRIPT” was changed. I’m sure i woulda been as confused as u. Please learn from this experience. If u’l apply at UNN next year, just follow up on ur application. If at any other school, pls dont leave anything to chance. Whatever the case, pls pursue a post graduate degree. Dnt give up.
